I won the Theta Music Winter Games for the second year in a row!

This year's competition was based on playing back melodies by ear. There was a 180 second countdown timer, and each person could play the game only once. The first level started out with four-note melodies and progressed to seven-note melodies by level 20. I got the highest score by quickly and accurately playing back the melodies I heard. All my years of transcription experience helped!

The online ear-training competition was fun to play and is one of a kind. I couldn't find any other online ear-training competition that gave away prizes and without requiring an entry fee. Over 106 people from around the world entered the competition.

Trivia

What piece has single eighth-notes at the theme that a beginning pianist could play? The Rachmaninov Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini, one of the most difficult piano concerti to play!
